Three courtyards, three hours of the day

A kasbah faces inward. Each of our courtyards has its own water, its own shade and its own best hour. Here is when to find them.

The Orange Tree Court

The house was built around courtyards because they make their own weather: shade from the walls, cool air from the water, and a slice of sky.

Morning: the Orange Tree Court

Breakfast is laid out under the trees until eleven. The basin is still and the light falls through the leaves in coins.

Afternoon: the Pool Court

The long green pool catches the sun after lunch. Swim toward the arch at the far end and you swim toward the sea.

Evening: the Hammam Court

The steam is best after a day on the beach. Book an hour and come out as the lanterns go on.
